August 2010

The EGP is offering new Volunteer Orientation Sessions, the Lillooet Park Community Garden is almost complete, and the Orchard is in need of volunteers! Plus, information on the last three GardenSmart workshops of the season. Don’t forget to donate your surplus produce!

July 2010

The EGP is recruiting volunteers – it’s getting hot and we need watering volunteers, plus the Community Orchard is in need of attention! The Lillooet Park Community Garden is under construction and the Community Garden Society is looking for a vice president. Plus ongoing workshops and gardening sessions!

The Queen Mary Community Garden and the North Shore Neighbourhood House are having Garden Parties June 19th! EGP events and workshops continue. Plus, DNV residents can help an SFU student conducting research in the District by filling out a short survey.

Spring has arrived, and the EGP is getting to work with not just one, but THREE group gardening sessions! Also, join us for our quickly filling GardenSmart workshop series (register quickly for these FREE workshops). All the details are within! Plus, congratulations to the North Shore Community Garden Society for being awarded a grant from the District of North Vancouver to build their first official community garden (open house upcoming!).

With record breaking spring temperatures, spring is arriving quickly! Find out information about our first two GardenSmart Workshops, our first Group Gardening Session of the season, and a series of fundraisers in March at the Rocky Mountain Flatbread Co. (1255 Lynn Valley Road).

Welcome to our new Volunteer Coordinator Melissa Evanson! GardenSmart workshops are going strong and thanks to Vancity for their ongoing support of the EGP. Bees are creating a bit of a Buzz in the CNV and the Queen Mary Community Garden lottery for plots is soon.
