February 2009
With record breaking spring temperatures, spring is arriving quickly! Find out information about our first two GardenSmart Workshops, our first Group Gardening Session of the season, and a series of fundraisers in March at the Rocky Mountain Flatbread Co. (1255 Lynn Valley Road).
Winter 2009
Things are beginning to quiet down for the EGP as we prepare for our winter hiatus, but we’ve got a new website! and we have a whole lot of fantastic volunteers. PLUS, the DNV is accepting applications from Community groups looking to build a community garden.
Sept/Oct 2009
Learn about upcoming fall events (Michael Ableman is coming!), the last of our GardenSmart workshops, and exciting opportunities for urban agriculture in the City of North Vancouver. Plus, Queen Mary Community Garden Construction is complete.

Join the EGP at the City of North Vancouver’s film series (bring your home-grown donation for us!), find our updated drop-off schedule and donation totals to date! Plus, FarmFolk / CityFolk is gearing up for their annual fundraising event, Feast of Fields.

Construction has begun at Queen Mary Community Garden, Gardensmart workshops are in full summer swing, and the District of North Vancouver has approved some funding for community gardens. Plus, find out how much we raised at the fundraiser…

The EGP is having a Fundraiser (our first ever), our produce drop-off locations are up and running (help us by donating your surplus!), Group Gardening sessions are ongoing and the North Shore Neighbourhood House is having a block party!
May 2009
Welcome to our new Volunteer Coordinator Melissa Evanson! GardenSmart workshops are going strong and thanks to Vancity for their ongoing support of the EGP. Bees are creating a bit of a Buzz in the CNV and the Queen Mary Community Garden lottery for plots is soon.
April 2009
Group Gardening Sessions are in full swing, the District of North Vancouver is considering community gardens (there are currently none available to District of North Van residents), and we’ve got LOTS of upcoming GardenSmart Workshops.
March 2009
Group gardening sessions are officially underway, the Lower Lonsdale Community Garden is looking for a new coordinator and chickens are making their way into Vancouver (maybe soon they’ll arrive on the north shore?).
February 2009
The EGP has returned from our winter hiatus, group gardening sessions are beginning, and the Spring GardenSmart workshop series schedule is included, and the EGP is gearing up for an exciting season full of workshops and events.
