Sharing Backyard Bounty

Purpose: To provide fresh local produce to community organizations who serve those in need.

Sharing Backyard Bounty involves creating a community network around sharing food that is grown by and for the EGP as well as helping to integrate fresh produce into food programs. Sharing Backyard bounty also ensures that fresh healthy food reaches those in need. The benefits of sharing backyard produce is increasing access to fresh local foods for community members who do not have adequate access to fresh produce, increasing consumption of healthy fresh foods and improved nutritional quality, and creating a sustainable community-based network around growing and sharing locally produced fruits and vegetables.
