EGP Sharing Gardens
Planting more gardens, and growing more food on the North Shore.
The EGP Sharing Gardens are managed by volunteer gardeners who cultivate and maintain gardens growing food to donate to people in need in our community. The gardens are located in backyards, on boulevards, and in community gardens. The fresh produce is distributed through the local food bank, social housing, and community kitchen programs (if you know of a program that need fresh vegetables, please let us know).
Anyone can join us in the EGP Sharing Gardens to learn new gardening skills and meet new people. This program helps break down social isolation, connects local volunteers with their neighbourhoods and the environment, and teaches volunteers and new gardeners how to grow food.
