Volunteer
Volunteer your time to help cultivate and harvest garden space or for special EGP events
Volunteers who want to garden will form teams that meet weekly or bi-monthly You and your team will go to a garden site to cultivate a wide range of food crops. Volunteer gardener activities will include spring clean-up, planting, weeding, some watering, harvesting, seed saving and fall clean-up. Throughout the year the EGP will be attending a variety of events to promote the project and network in the community. The activities during this time will be tabling and providing information to the public on the project.

Volunteer your garden space so that the EGP can cultivate it
If you have garden space that you do not use the EGP may want to come and cultivate a food garden. You will have a chance to meet the EGP coordinator and person or persons who will be tending to the garden. The same garden stewards will visit your site every time in order to ensure consistency. We are looking for gardens that are not completely overgrown and have a source of water for irrigation near them. Good light exposure, and moderate to excellent soil quality are also an asset. The produce that is grown on your property will then be donated to local organizations who provide services, like food, to those in need.
